As part of the tobacco lawsuit settlement with many states, a financial settlement was paid to the state for use in anti-tobacco and tobacco education campaigns. The Health and Wellness Trust Fund Commission was created by the General Assembly as one of three entities to invest North Carolina's portion of the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement. These excellent radio spots are part of their efforts under a campaign entitled “Tobacco. Reality. Unfiltered.”

OCF teams with Emmy and Tony winning actress Blythe Danner to produce national TV public service announcement
Blythe Danner has graced stage, big screen, and TV for decades, and is, without question, one of Americas acting treasures. Mother to Gwyneth Paltrow, in 2002 she lost her husband director / producer Bruce Paltrow to oral cancer. (Read more about Bruce Paltrow in the People section of the web site. ) Not only did she donate her time to help OCF produce this emotionally powerful piece, she was instrumental in obtaining the pro bono help of producer/director Scott Winant, and writer/producer Eric Lapidus to make this piece come together.
